The theme of my photographs that I mainly focus on is women in Africa and Asia living happily and strongly in harsh conditions. I teach ‘Ikebana’ (a Japanese traditional flower arrangement) for 50 years, feeling flowers are the symbol of ‘Peace’. As a woman who has children and as a survivor who experienced World War II, I will keep telling my strong feeling of ‘Peace’ to the world by flowers.
