Yuriko Yamauchi studied at Sofia University and came to Paris in 1971 to study at Beaux-Arts de Paris where she learned painting and the technique of lithography.
In that period, she realised many oil paintings and lithographs of the series of women stories.
She had an exhibition in Paris, in1980 to show these works.
Then little by little, she took the tendency to abstract painting with much more warm colours.
Yuriko Yamauchi was born at Aomori, northern Japan, and her painting was realised a vast tapestry at the city Hall of her hometown Aomori.
From 2000, she began to paint with acrylic painting, with also very colorful woolen yarn, cotton fabric to do collage works, or installation works with different materials.
She regularly exhibits in Japan but also in Europe, as France, Germany, Spain, Denmark,
and in Asia, in China, South Korea, Singapore, etc.
