Martin Ladika

Martin Ladika (Karlovac, 13.11.1993.) is a poet, performing artist, musician, actor, puppeteer living in Zagreb, Karlovac and village Kamanje. At the moment he is working on his singer/songwriter material, broadening arrangemants and upgrading live performance with elements of various forms of theatre, to make it more interesting and reachable. Through his work, he calls for the unity of people and the return to nature for the preservation of the most important common good and our only home, emphasizing the beauty of nature, the value of respecting the Earth and necessity of sustainable living.

He has participated in numerous workshops and training in voice, movement, animation, playing and arranging. Vocal workshops of Marta Kolega, Melita Lovričević, Jovana Lukić, Goran Farkaš. Body percussion and singing workshops led by Ana Vrbaški, the only one in this part of Europe who is professionally engaged in this art. He completed the Masterclass of puppetry and object theater of Matija Solce, the masterclass of clown Nola Rae: The clown speaks without words, as well as the clown workshops of Romano Dautanac. He has participated in various international ethno music camps: Ethno Sweden, Ethno Croatia, Ethno Histera, Tradinetno Pazin.

As an actor and puppeteer, he has performed at many festivals and events throughout Croatia with several traveling puppet groups: Kvak Puppet Studio (Zagreb), Lutonjica Toporko Puppet Theater (Samobor), Ethno Theater Budilica (Zagreb), including the Small Puppet Festival – Pupica in Dubrovnik. He performed solo performance projects at the Performing Picnic Park Festival in Karlovac. With the activist art group Jablanovi, he performed several artivist interventions in Karlovac. With his girlfriend, also an artist, he participated for several years in the project Land art, Earth art, Earthworks: z / Zemlja i Antropocen. He read poetry at many poetry readings and forums in Karlovac and Zagreb. As a musician, he has performed at numerous festivals and events, in many editions (Croatia, Slovenia, Sweden). He performed playing, songwriting material independently, in duet, trio, quartet, but also with the accompaniment of the entire international orchestra (Ethno Hysteria world Orchestra at the Floating Castle Festival). He has played at exhibition openings, book presentations, small festivals, large festivals, protests, clubs, on the street, in kindergartens, nursing homes, film festivals…
